I heard of this band after they followed me on Twitter, and loved the track they selected as the first one that plays when you click the album.
Favorite track: Queen Bee.
Unconscious Jungle are proud to present their debut album 'On Parade.' The record features eight songs which combine elements of 60s pop, early 20th century jazz, northern music-hall, folk, neo-psychedelia.
Listening to the album inspired the cover-art’s illustrator to create an elephant playing the trombone. Unbeknownst to him, the song 'Lost Wanderer' was inspired by the soundtrack to the film ‘Dumbo.’ This coincidence led to the albums title ‘On Parade’ which seemed to perfectly fit the feel of the album as a whole; so expansive were its influences that the record took on the impression of a parade, with themes such as adventure, dance and heartbreak underpinning each new song in the show.
